Fred dedicated over a decade of his life to the mission and team at Rising Tide Capital, joining us in 2010 as the first Spanish Language CBA Instructor and Facilitator and then as the organization’s Credit to Capital Specialist.
Fred embodied remarkable qualities that defined his character: deep dedication and discipline, kindness, knowledge, generosity, and unwavering honesty. His role as Credit to Capital Specialist was marked not only by a depth of expertise but also by his passion for assisting the entrepreneurs and their businesses.
A devoted teacher and mentor, Fred assisted nearly two thousand members of the community and Rising Tide Capital Community Business Academy graduates, guiding them, listening to them, moving them into their next best level. However, Fred’s impact extended far beyond his professional achievements. He touched the lives of many, fostering friendships, and flashing that smile with warm eyes that welcomed everyone.
Fred founded C & D Financial Consultants, Ltd., a community, and economic development consulting company. He was a financial consultant with the Small Business Development Centers at Kean University and Rutgers University. He taught the Business Plan Preparation Course for the Entrepreneurial Training Institute sponsored by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and taught the Community Business Academy in both English and Spanish. He taught seminars for the Entrepreneurial Training Program for the Unemployed on behalf of the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers in Camden and Plainfield, New Jersey, and was contracted to underwrite Hurricane Sandy loans at the Union County Economic Development Corporation.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Fred stood as a relentless advocate for the Latino community, radiating positivity and offering kind words to all. His enduring legacy lies in the immeasurable impact he had on those fortunate enough to have walked alongside him.
We thank you for any measure of support you offer to those who love him and offer our deepest gratitude for your kindness.
