After ten years of doing freelance work helping small businesses to develop a brand identity, I wanted to turn my “side-work” into my full-time job. When I first started this business, I wasn’t sure where to start, so when I found Rising Tide, I thought that this could finally be my chance. I enrolled in the Community Business Academy that fall, and I learned everything that I had been wanting to know about how to start a business and how to really make a lifestyle from my business.

I launched my business, Brand Excitement immediately after graduation, and six months later I moved from working on it part-time to full-time. It’s been five years since then, and my business has grown to the point where I am now making five figures in my business a month, which for me is a dream. It allows me to do what I love and take care of my family, while putting my talents out there and help others.

Rising Tide doesn’t just talk the talk, but they actually walk the walk, and then they helped me to walk the walk too. If it wasn’t for them, I would have no idea how to start my business, so I am grateful they were right in Jersey City where I currently live, and it’s even more amazing that their classes will be in my hometown of Chicago as well.
