Content Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a passionate, motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join our Communications Team at Rising Tide Capital. The Content Coordinator is a skilled, organized project manager with writing and editing experience, a can-do attitude, respect for deadlines, and a fierce drive to learn. If you like working independently to produce high-volume content, but also appreciate a team atmosphere for collaboration/brainstorming, then this job might be for you. We are looking for some creative power and organizational ability to take us through the end of the year.

 

JOB TITLE:                             Content Coordinator

STATUS:                                  Consultant

REPORTS TO:                        Communications and Marketing Manager 

EFFECTIVE DATE:              Oct. through December 2018

SALARY RANGE:                   $25 to per hour, up to 40 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties that occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job)

  • Under the guidance of our Communications Manager, ensure that deadlines are met on our Communications Content calendar (30%)
    • Develop content ideas with the Communications Team
    • Assign and manage content projects to writers, both internal and external
    • Review and edit submitted work
    • Publish content to our website, and draft social media framing.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Manage social media streams and digital strategy for one of our end of year-campaigns (70%)
    • Create a master social media content calendar to optimize the organization’s current social platforms to build momentum for the campaign
    • Identify and engage campaign influencers
    • Curate/Create social media conversations
    • Curate/create content, and share with a curated email list
    • Launch and build a twitter following for the campaign
    • Recruit social ambassadors (partner organizations and student PRSSA chapters)
    • Assist in developing a social toolkit for partners
    • Create/curate content around the campaign events

 

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE SKILL REQUIRED (Minimum education and experience needed to perform the job adequately)

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years related experience in a similar position, preferably with a nonprofit and/or community/business development organization
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple, concurrent projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Highly effective interpersonal, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to include comfort working with individuals representing diverse communities.

Physical Demands:

Some evening/weekend work and regional travel (NJ) may be required. Must have the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or/or feel, speak and hear. Must also have ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
