Invisible Capital Author Chris Rabb to Kick off Global Entrepreneurship Week in New Jersey
November 9, 2012—Jersey City, New Jersey—Serial entrepreneur and author Chris Rabb will deliver a keynote address at the 2012 Global Entrepreneurship Week Kick-off on November 12 at St. Peter’s University. In keeping with this year’s theme Rebuilding Communities Through Entrepreneurship, Rising Tide Capital will also offer a resource fair for entrepreneurs which will include assistance for small businesses looking to recover after Hurricane Sandy.
The author of Invisible Capital, Rabb will speak about the importance of creating opportunities for entrepreneurs in underserved communities.
“Invisible Capital is all the things that impact business viability when hard work, a great idea, good attitude are simply not enough. What we need to work towards is democratizing entrepreneurial opportunity so that we can focus on what really matters. And that is businesses that sustain communities versus businesses that prey on them,” said Rabb.
Rabb is a writer, consultant and speaker who specializes in the intersection of entrepreneurship, media, civic engagement and social society. He is a visiting researcher at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs as well as a public policy research and advocacy center in New York City.
